Featured Essay in WV Living Magazine!

Our writer, J.T. Arbogast, is the featured essayist in the current issue of WV Living Magazine, which recently hit newsstands!

Here’s the intro:

“J.T. Arbogast is a Los Angeles-based actor with Pocahontas County roots, working on a film set almost entirely in Cass. Called Angel’s Perch, the film examines the delicate relationship between past and present, memory and loss. The film is part of a partnership with the West Virginia Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association. J.T. plans to begin shooting in spring 2012 and premiere the film in West Virginia in the fall…”

Timing is everything…

Hi everyone! We hope this finds you all doing well and enjoying your summer! It has been an EXTREMELY busy summer for us and, as we have received a lot of messages from folks, we wanted to update all of you on what’s been happening with all things Angel’s Perch.

Timing is everything…and if we on the Angel’s Perch team have learned anything over the last couple of months, we have certainly learned that! Strategic Partnerships with some local businesses and organizations have allowed us to lock in the all important housing for our cast and crew as well as some of the equipment needed to make our shoot possible and will assist us in setting up one of the larger events that is needed for the shoot. And our production team “behind the camera” is settling into place and we couldn’t be more excited about the people coming on board with the shared vision of making this film as beautiful as possible.

The process of scheduling the shoot has been very interesting for us. In many ways, it’s like a giant puzzle. You find all the pieces you want, but you have to find the right window of time when all of those pieces can come together and make the picture. While we had originally planned to shoot the bulk of the film this Fall in WV, the door has recently opened to possibly bring on some talent that we feel everyone will be very excited about. In order for those pieces to fit together, we made the choice to move our WV shoot to late May. While, obviously, it’s not the path we thought we were going to take, the possibility of working with this kind of talent is not something we could pass up. Intrigued yet? 🙂

So, we will still begin production in late September/early October with our one week of L.A. based filming and commence our West Virginia shoot in late May. There will be plenty of news between now and then so, don’t go anywhere!

Stay tuned, fans. And thanks so much for being a part of the journey. We couldn’t do this without you!

Much Love,
~The Scrappy Cat Team
